Quit Smoking Tip #10
Develop a Quit
Smoking Plan
Having a plan
to quit smoking can come in helpful in staying focused and
motivated. By outlining many of your triggers and methods of
dealing with them prepares you for when they are encountered.
No scrambling on what to do, you have the answer right there and
can act upon it immediately.
Put together
a list of contact phone numbers, forums, and email addresses for
the times you need support. Keep them handy and reach for them
before you reach for that cigarette.
Set a quit
smoking date. Quitting smoking takes more than physical
preparation, it also entails being mentally prepared for the
challenges of quitting. Setting a quit smoking date can help
you mentally prepare yourself for the actual quitting part.
Look forward to this date, don’t fear it.
Be prepared by developing a
quit smoking plan!
