Look for the Positive
There are
days in our lives that it seems nothing is going right. This
can amplify the stress, which we are feeling, and drive us right
back to smoking. Whether you are the type of person that
believes in the glass being half full or half empty really
doesn’t matter. People seem to bounce back and forth between
these two extremes depending on what is going on in their
lives. When handling stress after quitting smoking it is
important to look for something positive each and every day.
Don’t ignore the situations or events that are causing you
stress, just don’t dwell on them and miss out on the good things
around you. You may at times have to wipe the tears from your
eyes and take your eyes off the ground to see them. At least
make an effort to look for and find the positive and write down
what you saw or even felt.
